The best passwords combine letters, numbers and symbols into an unusual configuration. Always use a different password for each registered site and never share your password with anyone. Now for the BIG one...do not link your accounts to other accounts. This is a hackers delight as they hack into an account like Evernote and if you have that account linked to your Twitter or Facebook, for example, they now have access to not one account, but three.
